Green Onion Fritters

Delicious and finger-licking snacks for Sunday evening. Also known as pyaz ke pakore… for a lazy beautiful sunny day but tastes absolutely amazing and crispy in texture. These crispy and delicious fritters are undetectable Indian snack made with spring onion, gram flour, rice flour, and few spices. A perfect tea-time snack for tea parties and even great for a movie night.

During monsoon, it is most favoured in Indian families. You can find many street vendors also selling them along with a hot cup of masala tea or some special Indian dips and chutneys. These deep-fried yummlicious fritters are total bliss, you can even use other vegetables in this batter such as potato, cauliflower, baby corn or any vegetable of your choice instead of spring onions also goes always good.

You can add spices, according to your taste buds. I actually love more spicy food, so I always make my food little spicier than the normal one. But it's totally up to you. AND totally vegan friendly and easy to make. Crunchy outside and soft inside these lip-smacking fritters can be served with any kind of dip or chutney of your choice.

Ingredients

 2 cups Chopped spring onions
 1 cup Gram flour
 1 tbsp Rice flour
 2 tbsp Red chilli powder
 ½ tbsp Coriander powder
 ½ tbsp Roasted cumin powder
 ½ tbsp Garam masala
 Salt as per taste
 2 tbsp Toasted sesame seeds
 2 qts Chopped green chillies
 1 tbsp Ginger paste
 Water
 Oil (for deep frying)

Instructions

- Take gram flour and rice flour in a bowl and mix in red chilli powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, garam masala, turmeric powder, salt and sesame seeds.

Then add spring onions, chillies, ginger paste. Mix it well.

By adding a tablespoon of water at a time, make a very thick batter.

Heat the oil in deep pan or kadhai on medium heat for frying.

Once the oil is hot, add a spoonful of batter into the oil. Fry few fritters at a time.

Keep moving in between for even browning.

Once get crispy and golden brown from all the sides remove it onto a paper towel-lined plate using a slotted spoon.

Serve hot with your favourite chutney/dip along with masala tea.
